Classes are gentle and restorative
At the cancer hub, we offer gentle and restorative yoga to support relaxation, recovery, and overall wellbeing. Each class blends gentle movement (yoga postures), breathing exercises, and guided relaxation techniques to help calm the mind and restore balance.
Many people living with cancer tell us they love yoga because it simply makes them feel good—bringing a sense of ease, clarity, and relief during what can be a challenging time.
Yoga is one of the world’s oldest practices, with origins in India more than 5000 years ago. Today, it’s recognised globally for its many benefits, especially for those navigating cancer care.
What you can expect:
-
- Gentle and accessible – designed for all abilities and stages of cancer care.
- Restorative – helping ease stress and anxiety while supporting energy, sleep, flexibility, and strength.
- Mind-body focused– encouraging awareness, connection, and self-kindness.
Classes typically include breathwork (*pranayama*), postures (*asanas*), and guided relaxation or meditation. You’re always encouraged to listen to your body, rest when you need, and move at your own pace.
Whether you’re newly diagnosed, in treatment, or living well beyond cancer, yoga at the cancer hub offers a safe, supportive way to nurture both body and mind.
Yoga is held every Tuesday at 9am.
