The community café at COUCH Cancer Hub NQ is more than coffee. It is a bright, uplifting space for people impacted by cancer and their loved ones. Nestled in the rainforest, just 10 minutes from Cairns CBD, it offers a peaceful place to relax, connect, and find comfort.

Many clients say they don’t always feel the need to talk about cancer. In this space, empathy comes naturally. People understand each other because they have faced similar experiences. Whether you want to share your story or enjoy quiet company, the café provides a welcoming and supportive environment.

A Hub for Connection

The community café encourages friendship and peer support. Connections form easily in a positive and uplifting atmosphere. You can enjoy a friendly chat, meet new people, or sit quietly with a comforting coffee. Everyone is welcome. You can pop in anytime, and you are encouraged to bring a friend or loved one.

Coffee, Meals, and Treats

Open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm, the café serves freshly brewed coffee, homestyle light meals, and baked treats. Volunteers prepare and serve everything with care. Beyond nourishment, the café offers moments of normality, warmth, and belonging.
