Meditation

Discover techiques to calm the mind

Meditation is a mindfulness-based practice that can help reduce psychological distress, fatigue, and sleep disturbances, while supporting overall wellbeing and personal growth for people undergoing cancer treatment.

At the hub, clients are invited to attend weekly meditation sessions on Fridays, providing a peaceful way to end the week, unwind and reconnect with themselves.

Meditation encourages stillness and helps foster a stronger connection between mind and body.

For people living with cancer, the practice can:
    • Reduce stress and anxiety
    • Promote relaxation and clarity of thought
    • Support overall health and wellbeing
We offer a variety of meditation styles to suit individual needs:
    • Mindfulness Meditation – Gently brings awareness to the present moment, helping to calm a wandering mind and reduce mental “chatter”.
    • Focused or Guided Imagery Meditation – Uses visualisation to bring attention back to the present, reduce stress, and train the mind to refocus, which can be particularly helpful during and after treatment.

Whether you are in treatment, post-treatment, or simply seeking a moment of calm, meditation provides a safe, supportive space to relax, restore, and reconnect.

Join us for meditation every Friday at 11am at the hub.
