The community cafe at COUCH Cancer Hub NQ is a bright, uplifting space designed especially for people impacted by cancer and their loved ones. Nestled in the tranquil rainforest just 10 minutes from Cairns CBD, it’s a peaceful place to unwind, connect, and find comfort.
At COUCH, many clients share that they don’t always feel the need to talk about cancer because they’re surrounded by others who understand. In this space, empathy comes naturally – many have faced similar journeys. Whether you want to speak about your experience or simply be in the company of those who truly get it, you’ll find a welcoming and supportive environment here. Our cafe is a hub for social and peer connection, where friendships are made and support flows naturally in a positive, uplifting environment.

Open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm, the cafe offers great coffee, homestyle light meals, and freshly baked treats — all lovingly prepared and served by our dedicated volunteers.
