COUCH coffee and catch up

COUCH Coffee and Catch Up is a welcoming monthly session held on the first Thursday of every month from 10:30am to 12:00pm. These sessions provide a relaxed and supportive environment where people impacted by cancer can connect, share experiences, and enjoy a moment of calm and community.

Connection plays a vital role in recovery and well-being during and after cancer treatment. Talking to others who understand what you’re going through can reduce stress, provide emotional support, and remind you that you are not alone. Even small moments of social connection can have a profound effect on mood, resilience, and overall mental health. COUCH Coffee and Catch Up is designed to offer these connections in a safe, friendly space where everyone feels welcome.

Our Cancer Care Team, including our experienced Cancer Care Nurse, is on hand to answer questions, offer guidance, and provide advice for those navigating treatment, survivorship, or ongoing care. Whether you have concerns about your own journey or want practical tips, our team is there to provide professional support while maintaining a relaxed, conversational environment.

Adding to the experience, our volunteer-run café will be open, serving a range of sweet treats and hot beverages. Enjoy a coffee, tea, or slice while you connect with others in the community. Sharing stories over a warm drink encourages conversation, fosters friendships, and helps build a sense of belonging that is so important during challenging times.

Whether you are currently receiving treatment, supporting a loved one, or simply seeking connection with others who understand the cancer journey, COUCH Coffee and Catch Up provides a space to feel supported, heard, and valued. Join us on the first Thursday of each month and take time for yourself, enjoy community, and experience the comfort and connection that can make a real difference in your wellbeing.
